I enjoy living at GCV because I have no utility bills to worry about, especially in the winter with gas so high. The food is great. We have a good variety of healthy foods. I’m a type II diabetic and I have no problem to get the right food. The people are real friendly and most are from my generation. We find it easy to find some “old happenings” to laugh about. I’m well satisfied since I’ve been here 14 months. The staff is real friendly too.

I have found my home at GCV. I had planned to move in fall of the next year, but I found myself here during Thanksgiving week in 2008. I owe that decision to the Lord. I love my apartment and it is just right for me. I use the extra bedroom for an office where I house my computer and all business related items. Besides that I have a balcony and enjoy going out there and breathing God’s fresh air. We are a family here and I enjoy that feeling. The administrative staff is very efficient besides being helpful and friendly. The wait staff in the dining room is excellent, always smiling and wanting to please. The food is superb and I can always find something I like. I must mention the transportation. It is excellent. Sometimes I feel like I have my own “private” taxi. That is so wonderful. I love the location of GCV because I am so close to 55 plus, Elder Care and Wal-Mart. Who could ask for more? NOT ME.
Dorothy Glatfelder
My sister is the only immediate family I have left and she lives in Tulsa. Before my husband died I had already made up my mind to move to GCV. We kept up with household repairs, roofing, plumbing, etc. but GCV worries about those things for me, now. I enjoy getting out in our yard as I like walking around the Lake when I can. I am having the housekeeping & maintenance work done now, instead of having to wait is so handy. The traffic has gotten heavier & faster, all we have to do is call the front desk and the driver takes us out & picks us up at our convenience. This means a lot to me. I like it here at GCV. The food is good most of the time.

The maintenance people are there to help when needed. All are pleasant & eager to help any time a light bulb needs changing. The residents are all friendly. Games are available & entertainment is provided. During week we have access to a person to drive us to appointments or pleasures. There is a bus & driver to take us to the Friday Bank Forum which the men really enjoy. The staff is accommodating & friendly. The Chef visits with the residents about the food & service.

I enjoy living at GCV because I feel so safe from the hazards of living in a house. At Assisted Living we are so carefully looked after, it’s a real joy. The laundry service is so great – everything is included, not just the flatware.
Rudie Janzen
I enjoy living at GCV because it is excellent living conditions, the food is well prepared and provides excellent choices; costs are reasonable.

I’ve never lived in a rented place with such a home-like atmosphere! Surrounded with tasteful decorating, comfortable furnishings, and kind, courteous employees as well as contact with friendly, compatible residents, and scrumptious food – what more could we ask? We do appreciate the willingness of the staff to help with any problems – and there are always some residents who need help. With a feeling of love & appreciation for those who do their best – I would not change for any place else.

Assistance provided by the Green Country staff makes the transition from living in a private home to living at Green Country a relatively painless process. Residents are always ready to welcome new residents.
Virginia Hottenstein
I have lived at Green Country Village for 2 ½ years. The main thing I enjoy here is the lake & the walk around it. It is a park-like setting with trees and shrubs. Also, a walk across the street takes you to Wal-Mart & great shopping. The food is good here and I’m happy to live here.
Addie Lee Milner
I enjoy living at Green Country Village because the staff & residents are friendly and easy to know. Maintenance is excellent. The dining room service & food are truly a treat. I have only lived here six weeks, and I feel as if we are all one big happy family.
Patricia Smith
I enjoy Green Country Village because everyone is very friendly, including the administrative staff and all employees. We have laundry and housekeeping every two weeks. We have two meals a day included in our apartment rent, also. The food is good and David, the Director, will work with you on special diets. The transition was good because of the other residents. The social activities are adequate. I have no complaints. I like everything about Green Country Village. Everything!
Jean Bennett
I enjoy living at Green Country Village because it is a perfect place for me. The setting is just beautiful and there are lots of areas a person can walk and enjoy the scenery. I think the inside is very nice with a nice looking dining room and living room. A person couldn’t ask for nicer staff, housekeepers, or kitchen help. The food is very good. The move for me was perfect. It is very secure and my son, who lives out of town, feels very comfortable with me living here. It is my home and I enjoy the activities and the people.

Green Country Village Assisted Living is the “Cadillac Hotel”. The caring staff watches over me and attends to every need. They include me in their daily activities, they watch over me, and help me throughout my day. I enjoy the good food with social interaction at each meal. It is the highlight of my day. The compassion of the staff and residents gives me a feeling of being at home.
Jim & Mabel Wride
We enjoy our daily walks around the scenic lake and in other open areas. On cold and rainy days, there is space to walk indoors. We like the friendliness of the residents and staff and the good food. Freedom from house ownership chores is a definite plus.
Maxine Moret
I enjoy living at Green Country Village because it meets all my needs. This is my reply when friends ask me about GCV. I’m very happy here. There is such a good and efficient staff. We have great cooks that serve good tasting food. I enjoy the different people who are brought in to entertain us. I’ve met many people here and enjoy being with them.
Lynn & Don Berger
I enjoy living at Green County Village because, considering our diminishing abilities to accomplish life’s needs, food, shelter, transportation, health care, entertainment, etc., we looked for a great, affordable retirement home with the least loss of comfortable home surroundings and found it in Green Country Village’s Independent Living facility. We are still enjoying good food, many new and renewed friendships, comfortable surroundings and what old and new activities we desire.
